New monument Part 1

You never know what you'll find when you go to town...last week before our sickness there was buzzing in town about a new monument. But before we could get the new one, the old one had to go...across the street. Lol!

Look at the "drag marks", they literally pushed the old monument across the road (with the earthmover) and there it still sits to this day.

Nexar the bread man showed me the model of the new monument, housed in an empty storefront where they are keeping the supplies.

Interesting...

After the old statue was out of the way, they spent many days tearing up the old, and putting in new concrete.

Always lots of onlookers. It will be interesting to see the progress, so stay tuned...the adventure continues!
